Summary

  • 10 years of experience and original scientific work in the development, validation and dissemination of multi-dimensional measures (composite indicators), with particular emphasis on social and human development, health, economy, environmental policy, sustainable development, lifelong learning, wellbeing.

  • Original scientific work in applied statistics, including methods for missing data, regression and multivariate analysis, uncertainty and global sensitivity analysis, geostatistics (kriging), neural networks, econometric modeling, multi-criteria analysis.

  • 9 years of experience in project management, and effective collaboration with scientists, policymakers, the academia, European Commission officials and business experts in Europe, U.S.A and Canada.

  • 15 years of experience in statistical software packages, programming, and computer-aided data analysis.

  • Developer and moderator of the JRC Information server on composite indicators  (1st Google hit on “composite indicators”) and co-author of the Handbook on Composite Indicators produced by the OECD and the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission (JRC).

Analysis and Monitoring of Sustainable Development in the Spanish Regions (Autonomous University of Barcelona)

The goal of the study was to develop and validate a regional sustainability ranking system in Spain using multi-criteria analysis and sensitivity analysis (plurality of scenarios and assessment of their impact on the final outcome).
